Green Beverly's Garden Rebate Program Is Open for Spring

🌼May is here, and so is our Garden Rebate Program! If you've been dreaming of a bigger, more beautiful native garden, now is the time to make it happen. Green Beverly is offering up to $500 in rebates for new pollinator gardens that meet our size and native plant criteria. Check eligibility and apply while funds are still available!

For Non-Profits and Houses of Worship

🌼Green Beverly and the City of Beverly want your nonprofit, house of worship, or school to know about two programs that can help cut energy costs. Mass Save covers up to 100% of project costs for HVAC, insulation, lighting, and other upgrades. Do you know that a nonprofit, house of worship, or school can receive a $2,500 to $7,500 stipend simply for exploring solar? BioBlitz Kick-off: further details and sign-up here. 

Volunteer Need: Looking for at most 10 people who would be willing to be stationed in the woods to help people during the BioBlitz time. (Training will be provided.)

What is a BioBlitz?    A BioBlitz is an event where attendees take photos and record sounds to catalog the animals and plants living in an area. You don’t need experience, just the free iNaturalist app and a camera phone!

Not able to come for the Kick-off on May 31st?  You can still participate in the BioBlitz!   Download the iNaturalist app, log your observations here. (Make sure to "upload" your observations!) Tell your friends who walk dogs there!

🍃 Volunteer Opportunities
-Food Diversion — Every Sunday at 11:45 am and Thursday at 9:45 am, help us move unsold food from Whole Foods to neighbors in need. Must be able to carry 35 lbs and have a larger vehicle. Email info@greenbeverly.org with "MOVE FOOD" in the subject line.
-Greening from Within — Volunteer May 30–31 (1–4 pm) or at Arts Fest on June 20. Contact Erin or Nelda for details.
-Sustainable Endicott College Cleanse — Help collect and sort donations from residence halls. Sign up here.
-Driveway Parties — Live in Centerville, Raymond Farms (behind Henry's), or Gloucester Crossing? Host a driveway chat with Green Beverly this summer! We'll talk about home energy, bills, heat pumps, and more. Email info@greenbeverly.org with "Driveway Party" in the subject line.

🍃 Senior Citizen Opportunity
Energy Ambassador — Know about Mass Save or energy savings? Share it with your neighbors as a 2026 Energy Ambassador. Paid and volunteer roles available. Learn more and apply here or email info@greenbeverly.org.

Get air conditioning by installing heat pumps! (And they get you heat in the winter too!)

• Take a look at this Green Beverly page for a general understanding of heat pumps. 

• Mass Save has rebates for up to $8500 to install heat pumps that can COOL your home. 

• Keep the heat out of your house by insulating and air sealing too!  Get a no-cost Mass Save assessment to see what can be done to help you stay COOL.   

• Green Beverly has coaches who can help you!  We are also out in the community - check our calendar here. 

Reduce your trash  - keep food out of the trash - compost it instead! 

Green Beverly has launched a compost pilot program with two new drop-off sites at Hannah Elementary School and Glen Urquhart School. Beverly residents who register will also receive access to two additional compost locations run by the City of Beverly. 👉 Learn more and sign up here.
