The mission of the North Shore Farm and Food Coalition is to build collaboration among food, farming, educational, and municipal partners to help identify and develop regional opportunities and actions for expanded food production capacity, increased local food security, and reduced carbon emissions. 🌼 Pollinator Project

💡Share your pollinator spaces

Did you receive a pollinator starter kit at one of our May giveaway events? If so, we’d love to see your garden’s progress. Wild bergamot should be starting to bloom! Email photos or tag @GreenBeverlyMA on social media.

🏡Go further with a garden rebate

We’re offering up to $500 in rebates for new pollinator gardens that meet our size and native plant criteria. We’ve already distributed $1600 in rebates to Beverly residents who have transformed their yards. Don’t miss out!

📍Social Media Volunteer

Do you have 1–2 hours a week to spare and a passion for making a positive impact? We're seeking a volunteer to assist our Marketing & Communications Director with social media content and scheduling.

This behind-the-scenes role is perfect for someone who enjoys working from the comfort of home. Ideal skills include graphic design, communications, and a creative mindset — but most importantly, a desire to support meaningful local initiatives.

🌎 Sunday, July 20, 1-3 pm: Community Meetup Series at beantrust coffeebar

We’re co-hosting monthly meetups with beantrust coffeebar all year long, every 3rd Sunday from 1-3 pm. Bring your sustainability questions or ideas, or just stop in for a friendly conversation and coffee! Find us inside or outside on the back patio (dress for the weather!).

🌎 Tuesday, August 5, 12-2 pm: Monthly Office Hours at CoFlo/Backbeat Brewing

Our new Office Hours Series includes 1st Tuesdays at Backbeat Brewing Company. Value Creation Labs' free monthly "CoFlo meetups" are from 8 am-4 pm (coworking) and 4 pm-8 pm (networking). Find us between 12p and 2p or schedule a mutually convenient meeting time with us (info@greenbeverly.org). RECENT ACTIVITIES & UPDATES☀️

On June 21, a dozen people attended the first Polestar Sustainability Tour of Beverly. Sergeant Brown toured us through our state-of-the-art, net-zero police station, and then folks were treated to a drive in a luxury electric vehicle to learn about past, present, and future sustainability projects around town.

NEW PARTNERSHIP📢

We're excited to announce a new partnership between Green Beverly and Beverly Credit Union! As part of this collaboration:

Green Beverly members are now eligible to join the credit union.
Not a Green Beverly member yet? No problem—the credit union will cover the cost of your first year of Green Beverly membership when you join!

Beverly's Credit Union is a member of our Green Business Directory and is one of the few financial institutions on the North Shore that offers 0% Financing via the Mass Save HEAT Loan program for energy efficiency updates.

It's a win-win for sustainability and community support.

FEDERAL NEWS📰

🟢Federal Changes: (State tax credits are not affected.)

After some research, we have the following summary of changes. (This summary is to the best of our ability at this time and subject to change.)

🟢Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit

Credits for (Section 25C) will end on December 31, 2025. The equipment must be installed and placed in service by December 31, 2025, to qualify.

🟢Solar, Battery, Geothermal

Ending of the 30% residential solar credit after 2025. Credits for residential rooftop solar (Section 25D) will end on December 31, 2025. (To qualify for the credit, your system must be fully installed and operational by December 31, 2025. ) Solar Tax Credits for Leases, PPAs, and Businesses have different rules. Commercial solar ITC (Section 48E) was not eliminated, but now comes with strict new deadlines. See the below article for more information.

🟢Federal Rebates for Electric Vehicles:

The new and used clean vehicles tax credits for individuals – the Clean Vehicle Tax Credit under Section 30D of the IRC and the Used Clean Vehicle Credit under Section 25E of the IRC – will terminate on September 30, 2025. Edmunds has a good description of the changes here.
