What a fabulous wrap up of EarthSpring last night at Old Planters. Thank you for everyone who came out to support us. $1 from every beer came to Green Beverly. Thank you Old Planters for your generosity in being the pillars of EarthSpring for us, hosting us multiple times and finishing off with a successful pint night!

EarthSpring may be over, but our mission is not! We have plenty of events, workshops, and programs for you.

Are you using 100% renewable electricity? If not, would you like to?

Green Beverly has partnered with two renewable energy companies, EcoLoop and Solaris, to help answer all your renewable energy questions. Whether it's solar on your roof, community solar, or an upgrade to 100% renewable with your current supplier, there's an option for everyone!

Stay tuned for a formal launch in the next few weeks or reach out to our coaches in the meantime with your renewable electricity questions.

Big thanks to our donors and business supporters for providing the vital financial support needed to bring our free programs and events to the Beverly community.

HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF QUESTIONS ASKED AT THE LAST VIRTUAL OFFICE HOUR.

Q: Who does the charger installation?
A: It's almost always the electrician doing everything. Most companies do not deal with installation at all. So I always tell people start with an electrician that you trust and then they can do all of it. EV chargers are very easy to wire.

Q: : How do Electronic Vehicles compare with fossil fuel cars?
A: EVs can be a little bit heavier, so they may wear the tires a little bit faster. But the brakes last so much longer in an EV because you have regen braking that, which does most of your braking.

Because you don't have to use the physical brakes that often, you hit the pedal and they'll work, but most of your braking when you hit the pedal is actually done by the motor capturing the energy, putting it back in the battery, and slowing you down.

So you're literally making power as you slow down and not using your physical brakes.
