This funding will strengthen the Coalition's structural foundation, allowing us to expand our reach and sustain our work connecting communities to local food on the North Shore.

This means more capacity, more connection, and a stronger future for food access across Essex County. Thank you, ECCF, for your partnership and continued commitment to our community!

Coach Spotlight: Meet Iris Weaver!

Iris is an expert in herbs and plants, and she's bringing that knowledge outdoors next month with a plant walk at Moraine Farm on May 2nd, "The Useful Plants Around Us." If you've been curious about what's growing around you this spring, this is a great place to start.

⭐Become a Heat Pump Champion

Heat Pump Coaching Basics Course. The HeatSmart Alliance is again offering its no-cost Heat Pump Coaching Basics Course to train local volunteers, municipal sustainability officials, and others who want to help homeowners electrify. The course consists of 6 Thursday sessions running April 23 through May 28. Sign up here. 

We would love for folks to take this class and help others make the transition to heat pumps.  Let us know if you sign up - you could be a Green Beverly Heat Pump Coach!   (Several Green Beverly staff have taken this course and say it is a good one! )

⭐Renters in Beverly, this one's for YOU!

Green Beverly is excited to launch a compost pilot program with two new drop-off sites at Hannah Elementary School and Glen Urquhart School. Beverly residents who register will also receive access to two additional compost locations run by the City of Beverly.

Participation is simple: review the composting guidelines, complete the Green Beverly sign-up form, and receive your combination lock code within a week. Then drop off up to two bags of kitchen scraps per week at either school location.
