Your neighbors at Green Beverly have been busy! This year, we've helped power the equivalent of 800 local homes with renewable energy and rescued 12,000 pounds of food from landfills.

This Giving Tuesday, every donation will be matched up to $5,000 – doubling your impact for sustainability initiatives right here at home. 

Your matched gift will help catapult (just like our trebuchet at the Pumpkin Smash! 🎃) us toward our year-end goal of $35,000. Together, we're helping Beverly residents and businesses lead more sustainable lives through actionable information, inspiration, and education.

Green Beverly (GB) is pleased to announce that we've partnered with the Greater Beverly Chamber of Commerce (GBCC) to develop practical tools that local businesses can use to enhance their operational processes and products or services to be more environmentally friendly.

Through a series of workshops with a focus group, GB and the GBCC will deliver educational events, introduce a "Going Green Innovators" award at the annual GBCC awards ceremony on February 27th, add a "Green" section to the Spring Business Expo, provide sustainability assessments, and visibility in the Green Beverly Green Business Directory.

We are hosting a meeting for those interested in removing invasive plants in Beverly's open spaces. This will be an organizing and training meeting.

Day/time:  Wednesday December 11th 7pm

Location:  Beverly Library - Main Branch - Sohier Room

This new Invasive Plant Task Force will have groups that go out and remove invasives most likely on Sunday mornings. Removal work will be done under the guidance of Cheryl Rafuse - owner of Plant Magic. Coming up! February 1, 2025 at 9am - An educational event for homeowners to learn how to identify, and remove, invasive species.
