🌼 Pollinator Project 💡Share your pollinator spaces Did you receive a pollinator starter kit at one of our May giveaway events? If so, we’d love to see your garden’s progress. Wild bergamot should be starting to bloom! Email photos or tag @GreenBeverlyMA on social media. 🏡Go further with a garden rebate We’re offering up to $500 in rebates for new pollinator gardens that meet our size and native plant criteria. We’ve already distributed $1600 in rebates to Beverly residents who have transformed their yards. Don’t miss out! 🗺️Get on the map We’re tracking native gardens and highlighting the network of pathways for safer pollinator travel. Add your garden and explore others around Beverly. |

🌼Pollinator Project Fun Facts: Native Plants 101 What native plant was blooming at Green Beverly’s public pollinator garden (around the flagpole at Dane Street Beach) in July? Butterfly Weed (also known as Asclepias tuberosa, from the milkweed family)! Native Plant Trust describes Butterfly Weed this way: Beloved by hummingbirds, monarch butterflies, and gardeners alike, butterfly milkweed is best grown in poor, dry soils in full sun for that irresistible burst of life year after year. It is surprisingly tolerant of partial shade.
