You May Qualify for Discount Electric Rates and More

National Grid has Discount Rates on Electric  and other helpful programs like the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), also known as Fuel Assistance Program, for those residents that are eligible.  There is information about all the ways that you can get help with your electric and gas bill (as well as free decarbonization upgrades).

The easiest way to be eligible is to already be on other MA low-income programs.  If you are not currently signed up for one of those programs, you may still be eligible based on your household size and annual household income. Please see the income thresholds and a description of these programs on the National grid page.

Please note the following about electric bills:

There are two parts to your electric bill, the “Supply Services” and “Delivery Services.”

Even if you have chosen a different “Supplier”  National Grid is still the entity that is bringing the electricity to you.  For more information about your “Supply” options go to our post, “Cleaner Electricity Options in Beverly“.

Please email info@greenbeverly.org if you have further questions. We are happy to help!
