Wash it all down with local kombucha or iced tea (Pigeon Cove Ferments, Tea Camilla). Our fantastic food vendors are producing little or zero waste by offering compostable packaging where possible!

  • Lounge in Adirondack chairs or plauy lawn games (like cornhole and giant Jenga!) thanks to Beverly Main Streets. There will be something for everyone to enjoy!

  • The Brown Boot Boys with Lisa Lavelle will get you moving with country, folk rock, and blues with tunes by Hank Williams, John Prine, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, The Grateful Dead, Tom Waits and many more.

  • Chat with experts from HomeWorks, National Grid, and Beverly’s Clean Energy Advisory Committee about how to power your apartment or house with clean energy. Discuss and see demos of technologies like heat pumps, generators, and solar panels.

  • Learn about composting by seeing it at various stages, make origami pots out of newspaper and/or learn about pollinators by planting pollinator seedlings in them!

  • The Beverly Bike Committee and Beverly small business Centraal Cycle will be on hand to teach you how to repair, maintain, and safely ride your bike around town.

  • See what critters you can find along Beverly’s shoreline with naturalists from Salem Sound Coastwatch - tidepools and the shallows are full of life!

  • Build mini wind turbines and test how efficient solar panels are when they’re in the shade vs. in the sun. Led by Change is Simple, a local nonprofit whose mission is to “Instill lifelong social and environmental responsibility through experiential learning that inspires action for healthy people, planet, & community.“

  • Grab some binoculars and talk to a naturalist about shore birds - with the spring migratory season upon us, you never know what you might see in addition to the usual suspects.

  • Join nonprofit House Factory founder Nathan Gray for demonstrations of a machine that turns waste plastic into re-lovable goods - from sweet sea turtle toys to sidewalk benches.

  • At 3pm, join a guided tour of Lynch Park discussing how climate change has already impacted this precious local resource.

And throughout the afternoon, notice the signs placed around the park by Salem Sound Coastwatch that denote flood levels of recent storms.

  • Learn how to get involved with the Lawn by Lawn program and why it’s so critical to climate resilience to take action at home. For another way to support the health of the local watershed, ask IRWA about their upcoming paddling event!

  • Join a naturalist and a nature illustrator to collect shells, rocks, and other beach treasures and then create artwork from them! All ages welcome.

  • Little ones can play with environmentally-friendly bubbles, hula hoops, face paint and more under friendly and experienced guidance.

  • Get up close and personal with some fun EV tech to learn about (and maybe take a spin on) some great alternatives to fossil-fuel powered wheels.

  • Admire creative upcycled fashion from Endicott students and a gallery of sustainability-themed work from Montserrat students. See the wealth of talent Beverly’s young people are bringing to art that engages with the climate crisis.
