Look for spring migrants while walking the trails of the J.C. Phillips nature preserve with library volunteer, Greg Power. Our previous walk at this location yielded a nice selection of waterfowl, as well as song birds--we hope to repeat that this year! All bird sightings will be logged on iNaturalist in association with Green Beverly's Bioblitz journal for J.C. Phillips. A bioblitz is a short, intense event where volunteers work together to identify as many living species in an area that they can. This can provide valuable information about the health and the biodiversity of our local green spaces.
