IMPORTANT NEW CHANGES FOR PUMPKIN SMASH 2025

We appreciate your advanced planning for registration, pumpkin collection, and parking

  1. ADVANCED REGISTRATION AND SHORT SURVEY

  2. ADVANCED PUMPKIN COLLECTION

  3. EXCLUSIVELY OFF-SITE PARKING

1. PRE-REGISTER TODAY. Help minimize the waiting and maximize the smashing!

  • ALL ADULTS MUST REGISTER - NO entry without registration

  • Children under 16 must be registered with an adult

  • Check your calendar and register ASAP using the link below

2. PUMPKIN COLLECTION SITES. We’ll need pumpkins to smash! Kindly remove candles and plastic accessories, then drop pumpkins between Saturday, Nov 1, and the day of the event (ASAP after Halloween, please) at the following sites:

  • Directly into the New Entry Collection Bins stationed at the new community gardens parking lot at 779 Cabot Street.

    • PREFERRED COLLECTION SITE

    • Between sunrise and sunset any day between Saturday 11/1 and Saturday 11/8

    • Any Beverly Elementary School: Ayers, Centerville, Cove, Hannah, North Beverly

    • School community: Monday 11/3 through Wednesday 11/5 any time of day

    • At large community: Monday 11/3 or Wednesday 11/5, or bring any time on Voting Day Tuesday 11/4!

3. NEW PARKING PLAN

  • Onsite parking is NOT possible.*

  • We have prepared two off-site parking locations nearby. You’ll select your parking location in your registration

    • Birch Plains Field (99 L P Henderson Rd), a ¼ mile walk along sidewalks and with a police detail to cross Cabot Street to the event. NO shuttle available from this parking lot.

    • Axcelis Parking Lot (105 Sam Fonzo Drive) The entrance to this lot is off Sam Fonzo Dr - the SECOND LEFT after Birch Plains - and offers shuttle service to and from the event. Please avoid using the entrance from L P Henderson Dr. Be sure to sign up for the shuttle while registering. One ~20 passenger shuttle bus will run continuously throughout the event. This vehicle does not require car seats. They are padded front and back and they do have seat belts if needed.

  • As with last year, the event remains on the property of New Entry Sustainable Farming Project, with the official entry for both shuttle riders and walkers via the new community gardens at 779 Cabot Street order to manage crowd flow, we ask you to select an arrival time in your registration. Please do your best to arrive at the parking lot within half an hour of your selected time.

  • After arriving at your selected parking lot and time, you’ll check in with an attendant who will confirm your reservation, provide a hand stamp, and then you will be free to enter the shuttle/event. Advanced registrations (those before Saturday November 8) will be placed on an expedited check-in list. If you register after this list is printed, you risk waiting in the dreaded day-of registration line, where we will do our best to accommodate you despite potential delays.

* A very small number of on-site parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, WITH ADVANCED REGISTRATION AND AN OFFICIAL PLACARD. Understand Pumpkin Smash takes place in a bumpy field at a busy farm, and therefore, regrettably, NOT a fully accessible event. Everyone attends at their own risk.

Email julia@greenbeverly.org for details and an accessible parking reservation.
