Sustainable Small Business Spotlight: WKND

In this series, we’re highlighting some Beverly shops that center sustainability in their business practices and/or selection of merchandise. But remember that whenever you shop small, you shop sustainably.

Alina Rudnieva founded WKND with sustainable living as an integral part of her business goals. In her light-filled, soothing brick and mortar location at 267 Cabot Street and on her browse-worthy website, shoppers can find a variety of “real goods for real good days.”

WKND sources primarily from women-owned businesses and looks for goods that do good, like the adorable stuffed animal ornaments that bring needed jobs to Kenyan villagers.

WKND sells both vintage and new goods. Handcrafted leather camera straps and salad tongs and hairpins, natural incense and beeswax tapers, linen aprons and wooden building toys: Alina’s curated ecofriendly gifts are sustainably-sourced, useful, and beautiful.
