  • Choose restaurants that feature food from local farms, in-season produce, or other “green” behaviors.

    • Small businesses are more likely to source their products locally than large chain restaurants.

  • Decline plastic straws.

  • Bring your own reusable mug to coffee shops.

  • Ask your favorite restaurants to implement sustainable alternatives:

    • Use compostable beverage and take-out containers.

    • Buy local ingredients.

    • Have a seasonal menu.

    • Participate in compost or food waste reduction programs (such as donation).
