Tour of Republic's Materials Recovery Facility

  • GreenWorks 5 Lakeland Park Drive Peabody, MA, 01960 United States (map)

See first-hand how Beverly's recycling system works by touring the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF), affectionately knows as a "murph." Attendees must register ahead of time to access a waiver to bring on the day of the tour. First come first served, and we'll schedule a second tour if needed. Pre-tour meetup logistics will be decided with confirmed registrants.

For Attendees: Please wear closed-toes shoes and clothing that can be easily washed (it is very dusty). Masks welcomed for either Covid or because some may be sensitive the dusty air. We will be meeting at 5 Lakeland Park Drive in Peabody at the given time, then there is a 2 minute walk over to the recycling facility together. (Special arrangements can be made for people with physical limitations.)

At 5 Lakeland there is an office building, and outer and inner parking lots: feel free to park in the outer parking lot if there are too many cars next to the building. (We will be there to direct traffic.)

Please DO NOT go straight to the Greenworks facility; there are large trucks going in and out of there and can be dangerous. Plus, the broken glass in the parking lot could potentially pop your tires.
