RENTERS
Encourage your landlord to get a no-cost energy assessment with Homeworks* for the property. An assessment can help you and your landlord discover opportunities for greater energy efficiency.
Talk to your landlord about these topics:
Weatherize and Insulate your home
Install Heat Pumps to heat and cool your home. See tips on How to talk to your Landlord about electrification/heat pumps.
You, as the renter, may also schedule a no-cost energy assessment and may receive energy-saving products at no cost. But without your landlord's involvement you will not be able to make changes to the building such as adding insulation.
We want to help you make change happen!
If you have questions or need help

*The City of Beverly chose Homeworks as their preferred Home Performance Contractor. Green Beverly has a close working relationship with Homeworks so we may be able to be helpful during the process - but you can use any Home Performance Contractor (they do the assessment and the work.)
Note: Consultation with Green Beverly’s Energy Companion is a good place to start when considering household energy projects. Before making purchase decisions you should conduct your own investigation of equipment, prices, contractors, rebates, and tax credits. Green Beverly can't guarantee future savings.
